I was determined to bike the ‘new bridge’ before I left on my holidays. It’s longer than you’d think, 2.5 km each way which makes it a 40 km round trip from my house. #GCC2026 #GordieHoweBridge #BikedIt
A few great rides over the past week. I connected with another GCCer which was a lot of fun! I haven’t seen as many riders on the trails as in past years but it’s nice to ride with others who are on the same mission and share stories. Just as your support motivates me, I enjoy hearing about other participants experiences and sharing mine. I’m hopeful to get another few kms in before I hang my helmet for our trip. This is the home stretch!
Another successful challenge with both my fundraising and distance goals met. I will continue to ride and collect donations this coming week - until I leave on the 20th. Grateful for my health and for supporters like you who motivate me to ride for those that can’t. Your continued support and generosity is greatly appreciated!
This Wednesday is KICK CANCER’S BUTT DAY! Online donations will be MATCHED up to $1,300,000. This is an awesome way to DOUBLE your impact and help boost this campaign.
Thanks for your support and generosity!
It’s been a great week riding up near our family cottage. The scenery is a nice change compared to city streets and trails back home. This morning will be my last time out here as we’re packing up today, it’s back to work Monday!
Feeling pumped to have already logged more than half my distance goal - much easier to make time for it when I’m off.
Spreading the word and hopeful to start bringing in more donations this week. For those following along, thanks for your support 💙
One sleep to go til August 1st and that means it’s time to ride, for real!
I’m starting the challenge up North and hope to get some serious kms in over the next week before I go back to work.
It’s been stormy tonight and rain is in the forecast tomorrow as well - we can’t change the weather so it’s a good thing I’m not made of sugar!!
One week to go til I kick off peddling in this years Great Cycle Challenge!
This year will be different as I can’t commit the time or kms as in previous years. I’m ready to go hard and bike daily til I leave for Ireland on August 20th. I’m hopeful to meet my goals by that date and if not, perhaps some sight seeing on wheels!
Heading out this morning for a test ride as my rear tire tubes replaced after a recent flat. I just hope that’s my first and last flat of the season.
