Took up the challenge today. Made 27 km before being sidelined with a flat tire. I felt pretty lame calling for help from someone with a truck, but I’m grateful to my older brother for the rescue. Lesson learned, take my tools next time. (And yes I do have an older brother and yes, he’s ancient!😂)
Don’t worry, I will have that tire fixed and be back on the road tomorrow.

I took up cycling six weeks ago as a way to get myself on the road to becoming a healthier me. When I started it was all about me and my needs.
Thankfully, I have seen the selfishness of that and although becoming healthier is a great incentive, in time I may have decided it was too hard, or that it was taking away time from other things. And maybe I would quit.
Luckily for me, a whole bunch of exceptional young people showed me that there was a better reason to ride. A better reason to get up and take my $20 bike to work instead of driving the car.A better reason to get more fit. Purpose!
I now have greater purpose in my life and because of that, my life has greater meaning. I want all of those youngsters struggling right now to know that it’s you guys that I am getting up for in the morning. It’s you that inspire me to do more with my life and for that gift, I will be forever grateful!
