I hit the 1000 km today..yeahh
And a nice gentleman stopped to give me a donation and thanked me for riding for the kids. High five to Bob.
Another day dodging the rain! Got a 32 km ride in. Winding down to the last week of our ride to help the Sick Kids with cancer. Donations have slowed but I'm still fighting for the kids.
Wow I got in a 25 km ride amidst the rain on and off this morning. Now it's beautiful out. Go figure..lol. Weather man was wrong again. It's always an adventure!
Yesterday was a lovely day so rode to my friend, Sue's, cut some grass and came home.
It's been forecast to rain today so I got out early at 6:30 am with Alfie and we clocked 41 km . It was cool enough for a jacket. Fall 🍁 is in the air. No rain yet so forecasters are wrong again..lol. Thank goodness!

Another beautiful evening 41km ride! Traffic is very light after 6 so it's safer. A lot of farmers are moving their equipment in the evening too. Alfie and I enjoyed the cool air.

I made a 31 km ride this evening to Badjeros and back and around Dundalk. It was a beautiful cool evening and traffic was very light. Farm equipment was moving from farm to farm. They don't have enough time in the day for all they need to get done before winter. The smell of the wildflowers was so good, which is something you don't smell when driving a car! I'm getting close to 800 km and very close to $3500.00 for the sick kids. I hope Alfie and I can make it but it's already been way more then I ever thought could be done. I'm so proud of all my donors!.
Had a great two days of riding. 52 km yesterday and 30 km tonight. I made it to the 750 km goal tonight...yeahhh. but I'm going to keep going as long as I can. I've only got a little over $300 dollars to go to reach my $3500.00 goal. I hope I can make it for the kids. Happy birthday to my son, Joey Schmidt and to my friend, Heather Cox. No rain on my ride! Left at 6:45am and biked from Dundalk to Maxwell Rd and back then to Corbetton Rd and back and then a few more km west on Grey Rd 9 for a 64km ride with Alfie. So nice and cool this morning! I'm riding hard for the kids! Please donate if you can .
Another breezy super nice day. I enjoyed riding around Dundalk today to clock another 36 km.. The soy bean crops are really looking good and I don't think I've ever seen a better corn crop! I've thought a lot about all the little ones that are laying in the hospital while I'm out enjoying the beautiful countryside. We have got to work harder to find a cure for all the different cancers that are destroying little and big lives. I pray that the cure comes soon!God bless!
Another beautiful day riding 36 km. Farmers are baling up the wheat straw and spreading fall aromatic fertilizer for the crops for next year. Their work is never done! Drive around the back roads and stop at their stands for fresh vegetables, honey, maple syrup, gorgeous flowers and sometimes fresh baking. We are so lucky around here to have all this fall bounty! We are thankful for our hard working neighbors and how they have made the Dundalk area so beautiful!
