Great ride today. I finally bested my ‘time to the gate’ to under 30 minutes at 29:40 thanks to some riders who passed me…. that’s all it takes to inspire me 😎. As well, I met and surpassed my mileage goal, so a grand day on many counts. Thanks again to everyone who has supported my fundraising efforts!!
Today’s ride had more energy in it, possibly from a later start. My ride on the demonstration forest road had been rained on in sections last night/this morning (nice!) so that made for a cooler ride to the gate up by the dam at Seymour Lake. Still not cracking the 30 minute time to the gate but I’m close at 31 minutes. I’ll get there - it’s a mind over matter thing ;). Grateful for all the donations that have arrived supporting my ride and this cause. Stay well, everyone!
Early morning ride today on the Demonstration Forest Road near the End of the Line coffee shop (Lynn Valley, BC). We were lucky to have clear skies (no smoke) today. Yay! 2026 riding jersey arrived yesterday so needed to update the promo pictures ;). Working on adding kilometres and $$ to meet/exceed my goals for this battle against this disease.
A one lap ride today for 26.3 kilometres. Working on improving my time to the gate at the end of the demonstration forest road. Not as much smoke in the air today so that was a good thing too!
50 km fair weather ride today was good on all points. No real drama beyond being a little sore at the end. I guess I’m not as young as I used to be. Some wildfire smoke in the air but manageable. Bike is running smoothly - no gear slippage on the hills which is great!
