The. Final. Week!

As we enter the final week of this year’s challenge, with just over a hunnerd kilometers to my goal, I look forward to a few last rides randomly touring the Whitehorse area. I am confident I can surpass my goal again this year, although maybe not as dramatically as last year! First year in Whitehorse. So fun to explore the area and find riding routes! Here we go, 8 days and counting…..

Ride #1 is In The Bag!!

This morning, after lots of consideration & planning, I dusted off the old steed, tweaked a few things - she hasn’t been ridden since last year’s Challenge, and has survived a plane ride from Calgary to Whitehorse - and set off.

My first ever bike ride in Whitehorse!!

I just chose a simple run down the Alaska Highway about 18km south of my home, no dramatic elevation changes.

My butt is NOT used to this! Gonna be tender tomorrow… 36 km - DONE!

6 days to launch!!

Getting pretty excited to get the legs pumping and the wheels turning....this week, Saturday, will be my first ride! Already planning where I'm going to go. So many options, all new.

Just over a month until the wheels start to turn on this year's Challenge!

I will be sending out messages of request for sponsorship this year. Although I am riding in a vastly different environment, and a new-to-me place, it will be a different Challenge for me, but my passion remains: the cause is real.
