Well, I was supposed to go for a ride yesterday and again today to finish my 200km, but the weather and body didn't cooperate! I am excited that I am so close to $5000 raised for this year. I need about another $240.
I am happy to report that my Superhero Jersey is being donated to Lawson, one of our GCC ambassador this year. I can't wait to see him wearing it!
I went to Tillsonburg for Henriettas group ride and had lots of fun. The riders are so happy and so full of enthusiasm that it genuinely makes me feel happy just being around them!! Always a great time.
This Saturday, is my group ride on the Grand River Loop. I hope the people that come can handle a few hills and a little road riding due to the city closing down trails for road construction. None of us like group rides on city streets.
Thanks for following!
Do you see that picture on my profile? That's Lincoln after eye surgery due to Retinoblastoma. He was at sick kids and got great supportive treatment there.
Without donations like the ones through Great Cycle Challenge, there very well would be more children suffering and dying from cancer. Lincoln has been my little hero since I started riding, and even though he's not little anymore, he's still a hero. He never lets anything stop him. He does 4H Club, Skating, curling, chores on the farm, rides a bike, runs and plays and is generally the sweetest boy you will ever meet.
Tomorrow, Wednesday is match day. Please donate on this day to make a bigger impact.
Thank you.
I am excited to be riding my first ride in Toronto tomorrow with a group ride along the waterfront to Tommy Thompson park, and hopefully be able to go off trail to head to Sick Kids for photos and I will be dropping of a tiny size jersey (it looks tiny) to the hospital for one of the children in the hospital fighting cancer.
No child, no one at all, should be in the hospital fighting this horrible disease. Watch for a picture dump tomorrow or Sunday!
I am organizing a scrapbooking/crafting event for April 11 in Caledonia. 9-5, includes lunch and loads of fun! Being held in Hagersville, Ontario.
I also still have silicone bracelets for sale.
