I began my very first long bike ride from home to the West side; its been an extremely long time since I've riden any bike. Usually it consists of not stopping at all, from start to finish; however I found myself scared to fall, scared to navigate the trails that I usually know like the back of my hand. Yet this bike ride i had to stop & check out the trail maps. Because of the construction on most major roads, it was difficult for me. I was about 1 block away from my destination when I had to stop and gather myself, clearly frustrated to find out their was 2 roads called Stony Plain Road. I got on the bike and tried to turn way too sharp & landed smack down on the left side. My body was in utter shock and clear pain. I couldn't actually move. Cars began to stop to see if I needed help. I didn't; i was angry, hurt and lost.
It feels like in the past jumping on my bike would bring utter joy, now it feels like a chore. I've become accustomed to riding the best bikes, wearing the proper clothing, now I just gotta inspire myself these days.
