My Story
It's the fourth week of August, and after that there's just three days left until the end of August, so there are less than 10 days to go! As of August 22nd I've ridden 758 kms and I’ve raised $1,066! Last week I rode 100.9 kms in one day, the best ride I’ve done since my 1st concussion back in 2019. I really hope I can do a ride before this month is over that will beat that, and maybe even come closer to my all time best of 122kms!
As I enter my fourth week my goals are the same, to surpass last year's achievements of 1,010 kms and $1,054! I’m incredibly happy with all of the help to not only reach my fundraising goal, but pass it, just a bit… but I still hold out hope to crush it! I hope if you’re visiting my page for the first time that you’ll help me out and leave me a donation to not only add to what we have raised so far, but to increase the goal I will set for myself next year!

I love cycling and I love that I can use it to help children in their fight against cancer, the largest killer of children from disease in Canada. If you know me, you know I prefer to participate in fundraisers that help kids. My profile shows a 6 year legacy, but this year is only my 4th riding in this challenge, my first year in 2019 I rode 1,008 km and raised $935, but my ride was cut short due to an unrelated concussion, another concussion and four lost years and I finally got back to riding, 768 kms and $767 in 2024 and1,010 kms and $1,054 in 2025! As I said, I want to do even better this year!
Thank you to my supporters last year, who shared my posts on Facebook, encouraged me to get out on my bike, and met up with me during a ride… it all helped me to get out every day! Thank you to those who have donated in the past and have already stepped up to donate this year - you’re the champs of this challenge!
