I'm Riding For

Chris, Sandy and Michele, Jonathon

To my amazing friend of 50 years; she has survived breast cancer! With her courage and the love & support of her husband, family and community, Chris has survived her cancer since 1999! To Sandy and Michele who also have survived breast cancer! Their stories are different but the strength of my incredible friends makes me proud to know them. It gives me hope for others in the same situation! To Jonathon, my nephew who has cancer. I am in awe of his strength as each day can be an incredible challenge to navigate through pain and discomfort. In other years he has been supporting and riding for the Great Cycle Challenge!

My Story

This August 2023, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because... since the stats in 2018 (when I began riding for the kids) estimated more than 1,400 children being diagnosed with cancer every year has now increased in 2023 to a shocking number of over 4,000! It is still the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
