I'm Riding For

Carolyn Parker

Our niece Carolyn Parker passed away in 1986. She was just 3 years old. It was an inoperable brain tumor. She didn't know. She did not realize that 3 year old kids aren't supposed to endure pain like that. She never complained. Now there is an angel adjacent her headstone in the Port Hope cemetery where we visit often and wonder what might have been. We remember those we've lost. We stand with those who are battling to survive. We support the medical professionals who are helping them. My Great Cycle Challenge began with our All Terrain class at Focused Momentum in Port Hope August 1st. It continues tomorrow morning with our class at 8:30, then a bonus class on Wednesday the 26th at 6:30 and finishing on Saturday morning.

My Story

Again this August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Why? Because right now, over 1,700 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, and it's the biggest killer of children from disease in Canada.

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

So I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
