My Story

Cancer isn’t unfamiliar to our family, and when my wife stumbled upon this challenge several years ago, we participated. I had never participated in any challenges/fundraisers before, so I set a healthy goal of 300kms and achieved it.

Having navigated the pandemic, and several health challenges of my own, I am recovering and ready to once again, ride for the fight against kids' cancer. This time, I’m eager to meet and exceed my previous goals, and help bring awareness.

My nephew Thomas wasn’t a child when cancer took him from us, but he still left us way too early. I’ll be doing this challenge in memory of him. Were he here today, I’m sure I’d have no trouble convincing him to hop on a bike and do this challenge with me, for others!

So this August, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!

Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.

I’ll be raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support SickKids Foundation to allow them to continue their work in developing treatments and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
